Dj Dick was born among the orange groves in Sunny California. After spending many years as an undead mage defending the world against demons, dragons, and devils (oh my!) he studied for a short time as a Jedi Knight. Finding the monastic life un-fulfilling, he served a brief stint aboard a starship as the ships computer voice. That too, failed to satisfy, so he moved on to a vocal career, entertaining the masses with his golden voice. Realizing he had more to give, he decided to bring his unique vocal talents to the world of Roller Derby, which he recognizes as the One True Sport.

John Maserati was born in Baton Rouge LA, but moved to Salt Lake City as part of the witness protection program. When not dressed as Elvis, John saves lives as an underground crime fighter. “Despite all I’ve done, I’ve always found announcing for Wastach Roller Derby the most fulfilling part of my life.” He is entering his 4 year as their announcer.

Fragglepuss is best known for his zombie haikus and for his love of all songs about Africa. This will be his second year announcing for Wasatch and while everybody loves his quick puns and catchy one-liners, he maintains his stance that all referees should have beards.

Fragglepuss and John Maserati are members of The Association of Flat Track Derby Announcers and Fragglepuss has been a certified announcer with AFTDA since 2011. AFTDA is the governing body for Roller Derby announcers. AFTDA members strive to constantly increase knowledge, professionalism, and enthusiasm for Roller Derby.
